Beth McKenzie - CEO

Beth’s 30-year career across commercial and education sectors honed her expertise in transforming business processes, scaling operations, and ensuring financial sustainability. 

With a background as a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ), she has driven impactful change and performance through senior leadership roles.

Appointed CEO of gpex in September 2025, Beth continues to lead through a financial accountability lens with a focus on having effective systems, processes, and people in place to achieve sustainable and measurable growth.

Beth successfully led finance and business operations during a period of significant growth at South Australian miner, Murray Zircon; and at TAFE SA, she oversaw complex financial and operational frameworks, including shifting thousands of students and staff to learn and work from home during Covid.

Leanne March - General Manager, Models of Care

Leanne combines her clinical expertise and business acumen to drive effective healthcare initiatives and Shared Care models.

With more than four decades’ experience as a Registered Midwife, a Master of Business Administration and a Diploma in Accounting, Leanne’s expertise spans patient journey mapping, organisational governance, change management,service design, financial management, project execution, and strategic planning.

Committed to delivering top-tier patient care while supporting healthcare professionals, Leanne has overseen notable grants and healthcare programs, including the SA Statewide GP Obstetric Shared Care Program, the SA GP ADHD Shared Care Program, and the GP Palliative Shared Care Program.

Melissa Palmer - Head of Education & Innovation

Melissa has seen education from every angle, from teaching, course design, and development and as an assessment specialist, across TAFE and private training organisations.

Her expertise spans high-level assessment creation, content design, project management, quality assurance, and mentoring.

Melissa also brings leadership expertise, having been Director of a small learning design organisation. She has led teams in delivering large projects driving instrumental change in vocational education across Australia.

Melissa’s goal is to reimagine learning and assessment, sparking creativity and exploring new technologies that put gpex at the forefront of primary health care education.

Sarah Hills - Governance Lead & Company Secretary 

Sarah works with the gpex Board and Executive team to ensure strong corporate governance, compliance, and strategic HR management that support the organisation through change and growth.

With a background in law and HR, Sarah is experienced in employment law, industrial relations, organisational effectiveness, and culture change. She is passionate about mental health, and her work reflects her commitment to employee wellbeing.

Sarah was previously a Senior Human Resources Consultant at an HR advisory firm and Business Services Manager at the South Australian Wine Industry Association Inc., where she managed business consultancy, advocacy, and workplace relations.

Catherine Zuo - Chief Financial Officer

Catherine is an accomplished finance professional recognised for delivering precise financial analysis that informs executive decision-making.

With more than two decades of expertise in corporate finance and strategic leadership primarily within the education and training sector, she applies her extensive experience in financial management, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement to drive the strategic growth of gpex.

Her previous leadership roles include Manager of Financial Services at the University of South Australia, where she oversaw enterprise-wide financial operations and contributed to the merger with the University of Adelaide. Previously, as Finance Manager at TAFE SA, she played a pivotal role in optimising financial operations and fostering a high-performance culture. Catherine has CPA accreditation and an MBA.

Adrian Hall - Head of Digital

Adrian is a senior technology and digital leader with more than 20 years’ experience leading complex initiatives across government, defence, utilities, education, and the not-for-profit sector.

His work sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology, helping organisations turn intent into secure, scalable digital services that support long-term‑term growth and confidence.

With a balance of strong technical insight and pragmatic governance, Adrian brings a collaborative approach to stakeholder leadership and a delivery mindset focused on outcomes. He has guided teams and vendor partners through enterprise scale transformation, spanning ERP, CRM, workforce management, and mission‑critical defence systems.

At the core of his work is a focus on building resilient platforms and operating models, strengthening organisational readiness and ensuring technology investment delivers clear, measurable value.
